I can't believe we can put a man on the moon but we can't make a Christmas tree-shaped Reese's cup!

At least the Little Debbie people know how to make Christmas tree-shaped cakes. I look forward to those this time of year.

I really like the original Reese's peanut butter cup. Just the right amount of peanut butter and chocolate. Leave it alone.

I tried the mini cups and couldn't stand them because too much chocolate and just a small amount of peanut butter. So I would rather just eat a chocolate bar than try and look for the tiny amount of peanut butter in the mini's.

Just as long as they don't change the recipe the peanut butter or chocolate, that would be awful.

I hope they don't try and get creative that way, look what happened to the original Coke. Everyone loved the original, sales were good and steady for a long time, until some lame brain came along and uh duh let's have "new Coke" yuck !

I still hear people complain about this, even after all these years.

Reese's peanut butter cups are wonderful the way they are

Reese's holiday patties have been around since the 60's, long before I arrived. Nothing has changed since then, except the packaging, and even that has hardly changed. Reese's holiday blobs ("trees", "eggs", "pumpkins" - whatever) have been delicious for 50 fifty years. Doesn't look like they're planning to mess with that.

I could have SWORN I ate a Reese's Christmas tree (or twelve) a couple years ago. Don't remember the shape being a problem - looked like a tree to me.

Fail? I think that's subjective. In any case, this isn't a new thing. The tree-shaped ones have been around every Christmas season for years. I remember getting them when I was little.

There's a little more peanut butter filling in the specially-shaped Reese's cups, and that's a plus in my book.

Listen, I don't care if it's round, tree-shaped, or misshapen and half-melted from someone's back pocket; peanut butter cups can never be wrong.

That last option would be a flavor fail for me, honestly.

LOL. I saw some of those yesterday at the grocery store and came very close to buying them. I stayed strong, and pushed the cart on by, though.

I'll stick 'em in the fridge for a while and feign ignorance. That's just how much I love peanut butter cups.

This 100%. As long as it tastes good, who cares if it looks like a tree or not?
