Finished up my travels in the Barbecue Vatican, Lockhart, TX. Stopped and nibbled at two places: First was Black's BBQ for a sliced brisket sandwich (with pickles and onions), potato salad, and some chocolate mousse for dessert (pretty fancy for a BBQ place). Then, I stepped inside Smitty's Market for a couple of slices of moist beef brisket and a couple of pork ribs. Y'all need to come visit this town someday, and there's a rich barbecue history here.
