Freshly-made cream of herb soup. I was looking for something new to try and found the recipe online, so off to the store I went, bought what I needed, whipped it up, and by the time it was ready, it was lunchtime.
It was actually pretty good. I did top it with parmesan cheese and bacon, at the recommendation of another poster who'd made the recipe, and had a slice of French bread as a side. It was pretty much the perfect lunch for a cool, clear day.
Yesterday was football game day. I had homemade chili poured over Fritos topped with shredded lettuce. Dairy isn't kind to me so skipped the cheese and sour cream but it was still delicious.
The last grilled boneless chicken breast (marinated in honey mustard), a batch of sauteed fresh spinach with lots of seasoning and a very small serving of white rice. Just cleaning out the refrigerator!
