Just think about this for a minute: we have all been ranting about how so many of the chains we used to love have dived south, let's go with something positive; What restaurants though out the years have continued to serve quality food or certainly foods you love? The one that comes to mind, for us:
InNOut burger. They seem to always stay the same. That could be due to the family still owns the company. They are spreading out, but very slowly, mostly in the west still.
Popeyes, is another, although we only stop, maybe once or twice a year. The prices are good and the quality seems to have stayed about the same. The only time we were disappointed with one was in Canada a couple of years ago; the chicken was not nearly as good as what we get here and the prices were off the wall. We were shocked, to put it mildly, but we were shocked at food prices in Canada period.
We also have a favorite mom and pop place here that serves the best breakfast in the country (well I don't know if it is the best) and the prices are darn good.
Papa Ginos, its a local pizza chain. I loved it growing up. As I went out in the world I have tasted many other pizzas. Papa's is still just as good as when I was a child.
The bahn mi sandwiches at Lee's Sandwiches. One of the few things I truly miss about living in Phoenix, and we go there at least twice whenever we visit.
One local place I have eaten at for 14 years the food hasn't changed, the service hasn't changed although the owners/management recently have.
They have the best hand spanked burgers, always made fresh to order. Dinner is always delicious, never had a bad prime rib and their crabmeat salad is the best.
Carry on doing what you are doing Side Door!
