We had a neighbor at our last base, a Marine with a Cuban wife. We went to their Christmas eve gathering and had the traditional spread...roast pork, moros y cristianos, yuca, fried plantain, bunuelos, rice pudding, etc.

I have been to one Cuban restaurant in town, and there is a lot of flank steak, pork and chicken, yucca, and plantain. Rice and beans, of course.
