I had to try it and like the rest of you found it to be the average, run-of-the mill ice cream.
We do have Quick Trip stores here in southern MN that have a well kept secret, though. Their brand of ice cream is called "Nature's Choice" and it is cheap and very rich and flavorful.
Funny you should mention QT ice cream. I love the store brand ice cream from of all places, 7-11. Apparently, convenient stores are upping their ice cream game.
Blue Bunny is fine - nothing wrong with it. We have at least two places in my city that make their own ice cream. Honestly, once I tried those flavors, I just kind of lumped all the store brands into the same tier. You can argue Haagen Daz is better quality than others maybe, but I'm kind of grocery store ice cream agnostic. If the flavor looks good and the price isn't insane, I buy it. Blue Bunny is one of the brands I've bought and I've had no complaints. In the last year, I've also bought Ben n Jerry's, Breyers and Haagen Daz, as well as the Safeway brand. It's ice cream - you gotta work hard to screw it up.
