Not often and not in quite awhile. I've made caramel a couple of times - tasted good but never quite nailed the consistency. Also made colored "rock candy" coated in powdered sugar a few times for Christmas. More of a nostalgia thing for me as I remember always having that at my grandmother's house courtesy of a great aunt.
I have a family recipe for peanut brittle but have never attempted it. Marshmallows sound fun-ish except I don't care for them.
I did not need to think about homemade Almond Roca. Mmmmm.
My older edition of the BHG cookbook has lots of candy recipes.
I also watched a youtube FoodWishes video about making nougat seems so nice.
--- Which got me thinking does anyone still make their own candy?
I sometimes make fudge and pralines around Christmas. My mom used to make the best Divinity, I've never tried to make it though. I believe her recipe came out of an old Betty Crocker cookbook.
I wouldn't even know where to begin making my own LOL!
If you like fudge try the recipe on the back of a jar of marshmallow using chocolate chips and make some Marshmallow fudge....it is fool proof and yummy.
Here is a link to other marshmallow candies and treats. Keep us posted

Yes. Peanut brittle, and three different kinds of chocolate cherries (those had been hard to find in a store). The results are so superior to almost anything you can buy that we were amazed. We are now going to branch out into buckeyes or something similar.
Once I realized how easy it was, there was no stopping me.
