I get the same way occasionally...thinking yuk.

Then out of the blue I'll crave them scrambled...go figure.

I agree! I don't like it either.

As you probably know, pumpkin pie is "traditionally" served at Thanksgiving. My wife and I usually attend a family gathering with give or take a few, 15-18 people there.

A few years ago, I told her to make one pumpkin pie (she actually made two), one apple pie, one banana crème pie and she also threw in a pistachio pie with an Oreo cookie crust.

I said, let's see what people actually choose if we give them a choice other than pumpkin pie.

Anyone want to guess what pie(s) were the least favorite ? Yup....the pumpkin pie was the least chosen. The apple pie was totally gone....that I remember for sure. The pumpkin pie was only taken by about 4 or 5 people out of about 15-18 in attendance.

So....it may be tradition, but if given a choice, 3 out of 4 people in our unscientific sampling choose something other than pumpkin pie.....when actually given a choice!

I'm not at all a picky eater, but don't really like Olives (black or green), sweet pickles and black licorice. I'm sure there are other things as well...but these immediately came to mind.
