I do not have a Trader Joe's, I agree wholeheartedly about Publix fried chicken, and the Whole Foods is too far away to be in contention.

Trader Joe's: unsalted tortilla chips, their selection of nuts, pico de gallo, unsalted peanut butter, dessert selection (tiramisu, etc), Indian entrees, Asian dumplings.

Freeze dried banana slices at Trader Joe's. I used to like a lot of their stuff but my allergies really limit me. They had a good price on almond meal, as long as you don't mind that it had the skins.

I wish we had Publix here, or anything other than Walmart and HEB.

Trader Joe's: Produce items like real Arugula (bagged, not baby....much more peppery flavor!), Pea Shoots, Belgian Endive, fresh Fava Beans, fresh peeled cubed Butternut Squash and the fresh Empire Kosher chicken bone-in breasts (so much more flavorful than others).

Whole Foods: Cheesetopia! So many options, always opportunity to taste different ones. Current fave: Cremont (it's absolutely evil, cheese crack!)

Publix: Fried Chicken and amazing cole slaw plus their current can't do without, Southern Potato Salad with chopped boiled egg and a little bit of mustard in addition to mayo. SO GOOD!!

Don't have a Publix here in NY but have the other 2. Whole paycheck I have been to twice and I am not impressed, plus it's 1/2 hour from me. For TJ I like their butternut squash gnocchi and their frozen breaded chicken tenders. TJ is also not to close to me either. I have been to Publix in Florida and if I remember correctly they have salt sticks?? It's like an elongated bagel in a twist with salt and caraway seeds on top. Those were good.

Trader joes: facial wash and hand soap.

To be honest I've become very 'meh' about the quality of TJs food products.

Whole Foods: spices. Their 365 brand is inexpensive and high quality.

Whole Foods store brand pesto.

TJ's frozen garlic naan, garlic fries, spices, and mini cukes.

Never been to a Publix, but now that I know they have salt sticks, I hope I find one soon.
