Oh, and we usually end up with grilled ham and cheese with tomato at least once per month. Progresso tomato basil soup if we have it too.

I've lost some weight just cooking myself. I'm not a great cook, but I'm eating more healthily.

Oh, no. Poor you.

To me, that is so sad since I consider food to be one of life's greatest pleasures....especially when family is around my table.

Personally I am sick of restaurant food. Nothing exciting anymore. I've tried everything.

I wish I could say that I am not, that I try new things all of the time, blah blah blah etc. etc. etc.

But I don’t. I pretty much make the same few things over and over and over again. I don’t exactly get sick of it, but I wish there were a few things I could easily make that were different. Not necessarily better, but different. I suppose I go out to eat when I want something different.

I do believe this is a part of the reason those box meal kit deliveries are doing so well. It's definitely one of the reasons I went in that direction.

That's it, right there. You don't necessarily have to be a great cook, to make healthy or nutritious meals for yourself. I never get tired of my own cooking, partly because I know that no one else would fix food for me, that I could depend on being free of things I would not want to eat.

I'm not, but to be fair, I don't cook that much. These days, even once a week is being generous. However, when I've been eating unhealthy, junk, and/or processed foods for a bit, even anything that's homemade will taste pretty good, and make you feel better too!

Me. My wife was the cook, and a very good one. The fellow I am visiting can’t cook, either, his wife left him. Where he lives is rural. You can’t even find a good hamburger here. I have made eggs 1,000 ways but nothing like my wife could. I read here often for ideas.

We have tried the boxed meals a few times, they are easy, not all that pricey if you have a discount and are a diversity from daily cooking, but they still do not compare with home cooking.
