Apparently there are 10 plus types of pizza crust types.

To make it simple for myself and others, I will categorize them as thin, original or thick (this last one includes Chicago and deep dish styles). You are free to change the categories as you wish.

Do you prefer thin, original or thick crust pizzas when ordering takeout pizza?

-- I love Pizza Hut thin crust far more than their other crusts.

-- However, for Papa Johns, I prefer their original crust (but will only try their thick/pan crust for the first time today). Did not like their thin crust.

-- Have not ordered Domino's or Little Caesars lately.

I prefer Domino's thin and crispy crust over all others. It's VERY thin and almost "crackery". Problem is, I can almost eat a whole large.

I'm a pizza snob I guess, I don't eat any of the chains you cited. I only eat real NY-NJ style pizza. The crust isn't too thick, or too thin, it's foldable.

I have had thin crust pies that were good, but thick crust, stuffed crust, flavored crust? Nope, pass.

I prefer thin crust and the only local place I like is Sicilian Oven, they have wood fired ovens. Other than that we make our own "wood fired" pizza at home. Tonight we are having homemade pizza and one will be a porchetta, fennel, motz with garlic infused olive oil.

Marco's thin and crispy is my current favorite take-out pizza crust, but I also like Anthony's Neapolitan.

Don't know that I'd call myself a pizza snob but with two non-franchise, non-chain, very good locally owned pizzerias available to me I see no reason to go elsewhere.

I'm not a fan of any of the chain pizzas but that's all we have around here. While I personally prefer a thick crust, none of the chains can get it properly baked -- it's always doughy and undercooked. So when I order, I order the thin crust in hopes they actually get it baked through.

I never buy from the chains...they suck. Find a local pizzeria.....they are heads above any chain.
