I don't eat out often, but keep the "doggie bag" people in business when I do. I hate always being the last one still eating, and the waitress needs the table back. At least I'm consistent, and the subject of family jokes, lol. And I can get 3 meals out of one normal sized meal when I take it home.
When I eat out, the waitress or waiter is lucky they don't get stabbed by a fork when they collect the plates.
I usually eat fast just to get it over with. I am definitely not a foodie. However if I'm at a restaurant having a fabulous meal I will eat slowly to savor it.
My husband eats fast and I eat medium/slow. He was an hourly employee in his teen years and I always need to remind him to slow down. He eats as if someone is going to take his food away.
We have friends, who we thankfully don’t see much anymore. The husband starts eating before everyone is at the table, and he stuffs food into his mouth as if he’s never eaten before. Although these friends are loyal to us, the crassness of his eating habits (other things too) make me glad they aren’t close.
People who eat then food too fast and too much tend to have more higher blood presure, heartburn, and acid reflux. You body's digestive system requires food to be broken down chemically for food to pass through your stomach without producing a lot of gas which can cause bloatedness due to indigestion.
