Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and I signed up to bring a main dish to my work Thanksgiving potluck lunch. The special conditions: there is no cooktop or oven available. There are a few microwaves, but I'd prefer not to serve nuked food.

I have a crock pot that I can plug in to warm the dish, so ideally it needs to work in that, or be served cold. I've thought about meatballs served in the chili sauce/grape jelly mix, BBQ beef served shredded and saucy, possibly pulled pork shoulder. Main dish means meat, right?

Any ideas on what to serve? Pork loin is cheap this week at my local market but I can't think of what to make from it in a crock pot or to be served from a crock pot. Chicken breast is another option, I just don't know what to do with it to serve a crowd from the crock. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Lasagna. It doesn't need to be served hot. Assemble it the night before, put it in the oven when you get up, when it is done wrap it in towels and alluminum to keep warm.

meatballs and pulled pork sounds good to me.. and perfect for a slow cooker..

if the pork loin is cheap you can dice that up like pork tips.....Asian/Chinese style or slice into pork rib(lets)

pulled pork is always a hit as is meatballs....id stick with that -

Pork over meatballs (but I don't like meatballs).
Mac&cheese counts if you put meat in it right?
Turkey tetrazini. I used to love that!

I was going to say root beer slow cooker pulled pork. It is easy and cheap. The recipe I use calls for pork tenderloin but I always use a cheaper and bigger cut of pork.
You can serve with buns if you wish. Easy peasy!

Crock pot shredded turkey.

Tasty. Affordable. Fits the Thanksgiving theme.

I got the recipe off the internet. Beer, butter, and onion soup mix. It was delicious served with french rolls.

There's also this Cheesy Chicken Bacon Tator Tot bake that's always a big hit.

https://realhousemoms.com/crock-pot-...ator-tot-bake/

Or this Italian sausage pasta. Everyone loves this

Double or triple this, depending on how big your crock pot is. You fix it in a large pan on the stove and then put it in the crock pot on warm. It will keep for hours.

8 oz penne pasta.

10 oz Italian sausage
1 Onion chopped
2 cloves garlic minced

2 (14.5 oz) cans Diced Tomatoes with the the basil, garlic, and oregano.

2 T Basil chopped

16 oz Baby Spinach

Undercook pasta by a few minutes. It will finish cooking in the crock pot.

Fry the Italian sausage, add the onion and cook until translucent, add the garlic and barely cook, then add the diced tomatoes and basil, bring to boil.

Stir in the baby spinach. When it wilts down, add pasta and pour all in crock pot.

Take to work and plug it in on warm.

Always get asked to the recipe.
