Not necessarily food but...
I have to eat cereal and yogurt from a glass bowl.
Eating them from a plastic bowl grosses me out.
Mustard on my frijoles.
Ketchup on my Latkes.
Oatmeal made with water not milk. Have to have that in a glass bowl too, no plastic.
Mayo and chili powder on my elote.
Not too weird here, but I do like to drink OJ while eating milk and cold cereal. Normally I would not mix OJ and milk. Nowadays I don't keep OJ in the house, but when I am at a hotel with free breakfast....
I would like to mention chopped chives in a grilled cheese sandwich. Thank you.
My one 'weird' thing...which is not that big a 'thing'...
OK, I'm from the midwest. We like our ranch dressing. But I like to doctor mine up. My favorite is adding Pad Thai sauce to ranch dressing, and putting it on my salad. We eat a lot of salad at home. I also like to add other stuff from time to time. Mostly like mixing Itallian dressing with Ranch, or Honey mustard and ranch.
My husband thinks I'm weird for liking to do that...but that's what I do. lol
Raw potatoes peeled and sprinkled with salt - we couldn't afford apples but we didn't much care. My mother and I spent a lazy afternoon eating raw potatoes on the veranda. Actually, it was the front step - we couldn't afford a veranda either.
My late brother used to eat cold spaghetti sandwiches. For breakfast.
Of all the interesting combinations I've read about here, nothing makes me go "WHAT!?" We all have concocted according to what we have on hand and how hungry we happen to be at the moment. If you've never been truly hungry, you won't understand.
One thing I've never eaten is a Twinkie. It just happened because I was a Philadelphia girl and Tastycake was our go-to. Now, it's become a matter of pride.
I had a friend who used to put yogurt on her cereal instead of milk. It didn't look very appealing to me!
