Breaded pork chops (if the urge overcomes me stuffed with spinach and cheese), mashed potatoes, rabbit food with sweet red bell peppers.

First thanks for the birthday wishes. I truly appreciate it!

Karen in NH- I did notice that your area is getting a lot less then us. I have also noticed that the snow total maps are all different. It is snowing pretty good right now but it doesn't seem as bad as they said it will be. At the coast it does seem pretty bad.

I have a batch of meat sauce simmering away on the back of my stove. If we do not lose power I will use it in lasagna. If we do lose power I will serve it over ziti. Luckily we have a gas stove so I can just light the burners if needed.

Happy Birthday Magicshark!

Last night's dinner was pork chops in mushroom garlic cream sauce; rice; spinach; and maple cream cookies with tea.

Tonight we're having the leftovers, which will be perfect for this freezing, snowy day.

Sage, your pork chop dinner sounds wonderful.

Magic, what kind(s) of meat do you have in that sauce? It looks very yummy! I hope you don't lose power! It's been snowing here today but very lightly -- looks like more because it's windy too. Today's forecast went down to 1-3" -- I haven't been outside to measure yet.

Anyway, I had a small bowl of leftover chicken cacciatore for lunch -- made it a small bowl as I think I will have a chicken thigh with Shake & Bake teriyaki glaze for dinner. The S&B glaze is REALLY old (they stopped making it YEARS ago) but I made it a few days ago and it was as good as I remembered. I'm now on my last box of it (yes, I was hoarding it!) so I don't have much left! Alas, I have never found a chicken teriyaki recipe or ready-made stuff in a bottle that I like as much as the S&B glaze. If anyone has a great recipe for that, I'd love to see it!

I have a small pork shoulder roast that I'm putting in the crock pot shortly. Low and slow cooking with a lot of seasoning and this is going to be delicious. Plus, it will give me leftovers that I can use to make tacos and burritos. I'm working on a low carb tortilla recipe. I think I have it perfected. Yum

And Happy Birthday magicshark. Hope you have a great day. Your lemon arugula pizza looks delicious.
