I have a friend that will absolutely never go back to a place if she doesn't like the food. Me? I have a three chance rule. I give three chances to try to see if there is something that I like.
depends on cleanliness, friendliness and menu options. I never go back to a nasty venue or to a place with snotty waitstaff. If the atmosphere is nice I'll give them another chance if the menu is interesting
It depends on why I didn't like it. If a place comes recommended and we happen to not be impressed I will give it a second chance. I think that is only fair. If the food was really gross, the wait staff snotty or the place was dirty I probably would forget it. This happened to us recently. We went to a little restaurant connected with a service station. It was Salvadorian and there was almost no English spoken. The food was not good, the service bad and our order not correct. We have no reason to try it again.
