I inadvertently bought a can of chopped black olives instead of the pre sliced black olives that I had intended to buy as a topping for my taco salad. It turns out that chopped black olives are pretty much minced black olives. They worked fine as a topping even if it wasn't the form that I typically use.

I actually never knew that they made minced black olives. It made me curious to know what other uses there might be for these as I have a fair amount left over.

Any ideas?

We use them in an omelet, or Quesada's.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a frozen Atkins pepperoni pizza that I can try putting the chopped olives on. I love black olives and pepperoni on pizza. I'll bet they would be good on a quesadilla or Greek platter, too.

I love them, too, and I usually do just snack on them right out of the can. But with these minced ones I would need to use a spoon....not that I'm above doing that.

I'm not sure I've seen minced, just whole and sliced. Love Olives.

I put black olives in my composting bucket for the later move to the compost pile.

I'm still trying to figure out how someone would think that chopped black olives and minced black olives are not basically the same thing.

I love black olives!
