I answered all because they all serve their purpose in many different recipes for many different reasons. However, this quoted response simply appealed to my base and prurient nature, Cheers!

Me too. I don't care for walnuts.

If I had noticed it's a multi-vote - I also would have voted for almonds. All the others I'll eat as well.

Just don't add hazelnuts or filberts, whatever they're called.

I like cashews, but am surprised to see them in the lead. Would have guessed peanuts would "win."

Not a single person has mentioned the best nut in the world- MAC NUTS!

Seriously, you all need to come to Hawaii and get some Lappert's Mac Nut ice cream. I get it in my cafeteria at work and eat it every day....

I voted "almonds" because I eat a handful every day, and I love almond butter...but: I agree with hazelnuts. You just cannot go wrong with hazelnuts (aka filberts) raspberries and chocolate. Mmmmmm.

And, yes hwo could we forget macadamias? . In cookies with a little choclate? OMG!

Another favorite is the pinenut, although technically they are seeds (but so then is the cashew).

ALL nuts taste better lightly toasted.

Almonds! But hazel nuts are nice. I love the texture and the roundness.

I would have to say almonds (especially the Marcona Almonds that they sell at Costco), is my number one fave but right up there is pistachios, Brazil nuts, macadamia, hazlenuts, peanuts, sometimes walnuts and cashews,...

Cashews.

Also a friend had a macadamia farm and his macadamias were wonderful.
