I am a Pesco-vegetarian and try to eat healthy food. Does anyone besides me find it hard to coupon because of a lack of heathy food coupons.

Oh absolutely! The only coupons that I can ever use are for paper towels. Sometimes, though, the store brands are cheaper.

I don't like coupons, because I simply just don't eat all of those processed foods. You never get coupons for fresh eggs, veggies, or dairy...at least, not ones that are a good deal to begin with.

I just pick three-five local grocery stores, compare sales, pick the two with the best sales, and do meal plans by the week.

i stopped looking at the coupons in the sunday paper because there is never anything i buy listed. we eat organic whole foods and cook from scratch. the only way to save on real food is to buy in bulk and pick up produce in season at the farmers market.

Seems like the majority of coupons are for processed foods, but I occasionally see coupons for staples, like canned tomatoes or beans. And some stores have their own in-store coupons, which they'll put on anything including fresh produce, meat, and dairy.

When did "coupon" become a verb??

Don't get me started on the "pesco-vegetarian" business. Either you're a vegetarian or you're not.

You can find a lot of coupons/rebates online. Check websites also natural/organtic food companies.

Also check out food associations or groups that promote certain foods, like dairies, produce growers, eggs or meats. I recently got a stack of "$1 off any pork purchase" coupons at a local festival.

I agree with Herbrocks. Probably the only good deals you will find is from a variety of health sites online. People want healthier products....so the stores make foods that SHOULD be cheaper due to the lack of addiditives.....more expensive due to demand. Look how expensive water is.

So I didn't use a verb. Life goes on.
