I am attending my first PC party and was wondering what are your favorite items they sell, I know I want to buy a few things just not sure what. Any suggestions?

My favorite Pampered Chef item is the Pizza Stone. It is great for cooking/reheating anything with a crust.

Most of the rest of their stuff is just stuff to me (MIL sells the stuff and I have quite a bit of it). I would fight you for my Pizza Stone!

That's funny, when I saw the title to this thread, I thought of my PC pizza stone too. Got it from a gal at work

It's unanimous! Pizza stone. I use it a lot. Here's a tip, tho. When you use it, preheat it before you put anything on it or the bread/pizza/rolls, etc. come out soggy on the bottom.

I also like some of the little gadgets that you can't seem to find anywhere else.

O.K., as I was making dinner I spotted something else that I love. Everybody should have a Batter Bowl. I use mine all the time. It looks like a giant mutant measuring cup on steroids, with a lid.

I went to a Pampered Chef party back in NY several years ago, it was fun for socialization but for me their products were too expensive. But this is coming from an ordinary cook, just the basics.

I like my pizza stone too, but........my most prized possession from Pampered chef is the push up measuring cup - I have two of them and if I would ever find another at a garage sale I'll buy that one too!!

I bake a lot during the holidays and I make a lot of candy so I use syrup and peanut butter, etc. which are hard to get out of measuring cups. The pampered chef measuring cup you push tube up from the bottom to the measuring line you need, then put in the stuff to be measured, then push from the bottom and up comes the tube and leaves clean sides, then I just use a knife to swish it off the tube. See the measure-all cup picture on the website I've referenced to get a better idea of what I mean (not the mini....the one down further). I don't know how I cooked as long as I did without one of these.

I think the rest of their stuff is pretty expensive, but what I really think has increased in price the most is tupperware....have you been to a party lately.....YOWSER on the current prices.

^ Bed bath and beyond carries the push up measuring cup, and for less than PC

I like the vegetable peeler. It works better than any cheap one I used.

NOTHING!

I really can't believe that they are still in business. Speaking as a former culinary professional, their products are cheaply constructed, and way overpriced. Want a pizza stone? Get an unglazed tile from home depot, run it through the dishwasher to sanitize, and voila- pizza stone! That's what the pros do.

Everything else is a gadget and will just break way too soon. Go to a restaurant supply store for your goods and you will be much happier.

To me, Pampered Chef is the Starbucks of cookware. All about status, not about quality.
