Just got a 1950s candy cookbook.

I had an aunt who made the best Christmas candy

Do you make any candies for the holiday?

I do....I just put a Christmas candy, cookie, cake, dessert recipe thread in the recipe section. You may want to occasionally check that for holiday candy recipes. I have more to put on.

Not specifically for the holidays, but I tried my hand at making caramels.

They never hardened up enough to be anything but a caramel sauce for ice cream.

I make lots of cookies and candies for the holidays - several kinds of fudge, chocolate covered cherries, buckeyes, etc.

Mostly cookies and breads but some candies - old fashioned "rock" candy....It's getting to be that time of year where I start planning and making ahead of time what I can.....

I sure do! The family, neighbors, friends & colleagues start asking me around Thanksgiving. It's become a tradition I can't escape from... LoL!
