I have heard of most of these drinks, but fortunately, I don't drink any of them. I will admit though, when i started seeing the Starbucks drinks was panicking! LOL. I am having a Venti Nonfat Chai Latte right now, as we speak!!! Yeah - I know .... it has like 400 calories. But I only have one like every two weeks - I swear!!! LOL

Most of these are really no brainers. I mean come on a pitcher sized ice cream shake... no kidding it has a lot of calories. And those Starbuck's monstrosities, yeah.

Oh and any place that makes a top ten list ten pages long loses points in my book, lol.

Smoothie King’s The Hulk, Strawberry (40 ounces)
  • 2,088 calories
  • 70 g fat (32 g saturated)
  • 240 g sugars
While this smoothie is designed to help people gain weight, two-thirds of Americans are already overweight.

Just what I need! Ok - Gotta search the web for the nearest location ......

Thanks!

That's a good point as well - I remember seeing one of these articles about food but they were using examples like a large, meat lovers, stuffed crust pan Pizza Hut pizza. Seriously? Anyone who frequently eats an entire large, thick crust pizza on their own obviously has some overeating problems regardless of how many calories it has! I hate when articles use unrealistic examples to exaggerate things.

I don't drink any of those. Visited a friend I hadn't seen in close to 2 years. She had gained a shocking amount of weight. Of course, you don't mention those things. Throughout the 3 day visit, she drank at least 3 of those coffee frappe drinks a day. We were constantly stopping somewhere for her to get one. I have no doubt they contributed mightily to her at least 50 pound weight gain.

Some of those are crazy!

I read the #1 worst (the B&R Oreo shake) to my DH, and now he wants to drive 45mins to the nearest B&R to order one, lol!

That list was frightening! Thankfully I don't drink anything on that list.
