For homemade I've found what people really appreciate is vanilla. I use a good bourbon since I have lots of it, but vodka's fine of course. You can get vanilla beans at World Market for a good price, cheaper than Trader Joe's. Cheapest is south of the border.

Anyone ordered from and gotten anything from Figi's?

How was it? Better than other things.....or just OK?

I'm loving the prices and selections I see in a catalog.

What about home made infused oils, liquors and syrups??
Ask for recipes if interested. Those things are delicious, made to you likeness and great gift to anyone.

I tried it years ago. Not worth it even for the low prices (low for catalog food). I too like looking at the catalog but skip it.

Lately, that is our standard gift for weddings. They do a great job packaging. If you buy one of the baskets, they usually also include bay leaves and cinnamon as packing material.

And the prices are really quite reasonable.
