Bit o Honey .........but I can't find the large bar, only the package of small bite size. Chicken stick was also a favorite. Used to stop by the corner store and pay 5 cents.

Yeah I sort of liked Chick o Stick's but wasn't too high on Bit o Honeys. What were the sticks of gum about four for a penny. Covered with corn starch or powdered sugar. Really great flavor! Chum gum ??
Then the little four packs of a tootsie roll type candy in little squares...Kits maybe?? Came in about four flavors for a penny!

Wow! Just was looking through a Vermont Country Store catalog....and they have a broad selection of vintage candy. Let me see if I can jolt any memories.........Squirrel Nut Zippers, Chewy Caramel Slap Stix (aka: Snirkles) Peach blossom candy, Valomilk, puff candy, Walnettos (apparently a matinee favorite) Old fashioned spearmint licorice..this one perked my interest, and Fizzies. Any of these sound familiar??
