Eggs and bacon are high in fat. That is why I answered no.

In terms of health it's pretty terrible. Bacon is incredibly high in calories relative to the satiation it provides. Moreover, while some studies have suggested that saturated fat isn't the culprit it's been made out to be, it's still dangerous in high numbers. Bacon every day puts you on the brink before noon. Most importantly, pancakes are mostly just a completely useless and nutritional void ingredient, flour, that is loaded with not-so-filling but calorically dense carbs.

Suboptimal nutritionally by any standards. But alas, it sounds delicious.

who cares if its bad for you, just do not eat it every single day. Key is moderation. Plus, one can choose to make it healthier by using whole wheat or buckwheat pancake mix, egg beaters, sugar-free maple syrup, and turkey bacon.

My ancestors lived long and healthy lives on it.

Great breakfast. As long as you don't eat it every day.

Agree, not everyday. Otherwise, I'd like biscuits, hold the gravy , instead of pancakes.

Right....some days substitute ham or sausage for the bacon, French Toast, hash browns, or biscuits and gravy for the pancakes. You can even get creative and substitute steak for the bacon......especially chicken fried steak..........

Oatmeal is good too, provided it is served with cream and maple syrup (NOT maple FLAVORED syrup).....along with the sausage.........

A traditional breakfast has staying power for me, but like others, it is not something that I indulge in often.

Eggs have been somewhat rehabilitated in the eyes of nutritionists and doctors, though some are still stuck in the "all fat is bad fat" school of thinking.

When I can I buy farm eggs from chickens that are truly free range since they are healthier than battery produced eggs from chickens that never see the light of day and are fed all sorts of things you don't want to know about.

Mass market bacon is now a mass market commodity that is processed industrially and has lots of stuff in it you don't want to ingest. If I can't find or afford farm raised bacon (very expensive and hard to find) I substitute other ingredients.

An omelette with mushrooms, onions and some shredded cheese is also a great breakfast treat. I make my own bread, so pancakes are a rarity.

I think the choice of a traditional breakfast is not so terrible when you consider the HFCS and other chemicals poured into most commercial breakfast cereals these days. They are a long way from Mr. Kellogg's original healthy grains.

And I am a devotee of oatmeal, whole rolled oats, with no additives other than some low fat milk, cinnamon, and sometimes a little sweetener.
