That was a Grand Marquis coupe, I'm guessing about 1978 or so.

It's either a car for cabbies or meth heads.

Who really goes out and buys a used up ex police car that's been ragged on it's entire life? I can understand why cab companies do.

Fact is, compared to cars of 40-50 years ago, most cars are old people's cars today. Underpowered and not built for fun or to look cool in. No distinctive styling, just boring.[/QUOTE]
And that makes them old people's car because???

Thoughts?
They are absolutely "old man cars"! Seriously, if you're not at least 45 with a family, or a cab driver or a cop, why would you want to be driving a Crown Vic?

If you're not convinced yet, consider this: my Dad when he retired and moved to Florida (back in 1996) sold his Olds Eighty-Eight sedan and bought a brand new Mercury Grand Marquis, which is basically the twin of the Crown Vic. Old people love those big, land yachts!

Yes. 75% old man's car. 25% old woman's car.

Crown Victoria was my stepmother's car of choice for a long time (she now drives a new Taurus SHO). She had a huge glittery oval-shaped lavender decal on the Crown Vic's back bumper that read "DIVA."
