meh. They will sell first based on old laurels. Then folks will notice it's not a Mazda anymore and it'll flop... Ford does not know how to make reliable cars.

If you say so they are predicting it to outsell all the other midsize pickups, Ford makes the best pickups.

The old one wasn’t a Mazda either, the Mazda was actually a rebadged Ford. Just like the Isuzu Hombre was a rebadged Chevy.
Honestly I think the truck looks fine, and I think they did a good job on the interior. The lack of a V6 would be a deal breaker for me though, and I suspect it will eliminate a lot of customers.
At least the Transit is still a Mazda. I really like how they drive.
The Ford Transit is made by Ford Europe not Mazda, Mazda dose not make any vehicles for Ford anymore they split up awhile back. In fact Mazda didn’t make any vehicle for Mazda Ford made vehicle’s for Mazda like the Tribute, and the Mazda 6 and the Mazda MX-6 and the Mazda 626 they were made on the same assembly line as the Ford Fusion and Ford Mustang at Ford’s Flat Rock assembly plant in Flat Rock Michigan. The Mazda Tribute was made at Ford’s Claycomo Missouri assembly plant along with the Ford Escape.
It will interesting to see how they compete with the Colorado but see them having a hard time getting those Tacoma type sales but all the best to Ford.
Guy on Fastlane Trucks on youtube said payload is over 1800 pounds. That’s some very serious payload, many, probably most, full size half tons can’t match that.

It’s a truck not a car.
The Ranger was never a Mazda. But Mazda used the Ford Ranger platform as a rebadged B series pick up.
The reason they stopped making the Ranger was because they simply weren’t selling. People were buying F150s for a little more than the Rangers.
Quality went downhill imo. I remember looking at a brand new Ranger and the damn center console wasn’t bolted down. I looked at the sales guy and said you’re kidding right. $28,000 bucks fully loaded Ranger Edge 4x4
