I am wondering if anyone has had any good or bad experiences with Governor's Park Apartments (http://www.liveatgovernorspark.com/2/Apartments-for-Rent-in-Fort-Collins-Colorado/ - broken link). They look nice, but we are relocating from IL and may not get to see the actual apartment we are moving into prior to signing a lease.

Are they structurally sound?
How is management (we always pay on time, so aside from issues you may have had from not paying rent on time)?
Are they economical to heat/cool?
How are the grounds? Well-kept and pleasant, or just a mess?
How are the other tenants? Are they quite and courteous or loud and rude?

Any other comments would be great too.
Thanks!

They seem OK - I've driven by the place, doesn't seem like a bad place, but I've never lived there. I noticed they do not show any interior photos of the apts. The one interior photo you see is probably the lobby/office. Personally, I'd ask for interior photos of the apt you will sign in (or a reasonable example of what to expect) - especially since you are coming from another state. I did that same thing when shopping rental homes from afar (I came from Louisiana). The place was likely built in the late 70s or early-mid 80s judging from the house stock in that area of the city. Nothing wrong with that, just giving you an idea in case it has never been updated. Hopefully someone else has better info for you. Good luck and welcome to the area!

Ask them if there have A/C. They may not since there were built in the 70's.

bproven - Thanks so much for the advice! Louisiana...I thought coming from IL was far! There are some interior pictures on their website that look nice. The cabinets look outdated, but the rest looks nice. I asked about interior photos and they said they could give me some from a similar, vacant apt (since the apt we would live it would likely have someone still living there).

sosobroke- I just looked at their website and they do have AC. I am assuming it is not central air, just in-window units, but I will ask. Thanks for the heads up, because I had forgot to look at that!
