Hi there,

I've heard good things about Cooper City schools (i.e. elementary and middle) and contemplating a move there. However there is almost a consensus about Weston being the best place in terms of overall features, including very good schools.

In Cooper City we are thinking about monterra subdivision.
In Weston I think almost everywhere is good so cannot name a specific place.

Thanks for your help.

J

Both excellent places to live and both have highly rated schools ... I lived in Weston and have friends in Cooper City and you cannot go wrong in either place .. Cooper City is a little older .. although the Monterra development looks real nice with California style homes ... Weston may be just a tad more upscale ... also Weston more diverse as it is approximately 55% white non hispanic - 40% Hispanic and 5% other meaning Caribbean , Asian and Indian ( Hindu ) ... Cooper City is very lily white .. probably over 80% ... that is important to some .. not myself but others .. I enjoyed the divesity in Weston . Good Luck !!

Default Stuff & Nonsense

Have lived in Cooper City for 11 years (since before the overdevelopment ruined it) and am seeing a lot of nonsense in this thread but I guess folks just have to find things out themselves through experience. Good luck to you whichever you choose. Our home will be for sale soon since we plan on leaving the state though may have to rent it out awhile first given the horrible real estate situation in Florida.

Can you be specific about the "nonsense" in this thread?
