Is Pembroke Pines a good place for a single parent with 2 girls to live? If so, what type of jobs dominate Pembroke Pines? And are the schools good in the area? One other thing, I've read that Pembroke Pines has affordable living areas over there, and being from NY, I know what that entails. Is that true in Pembroke Pines, Florida?

Just depends what part of P. Pines. West P. Pines is very nice and has A rated schools. Of course the houses are a little more expensive there. I don't know what your budget is so I can't really tell you whether it's good for you or not.

Ugh, I feel ill. We just moved to Cooper City for the schools. My daughter is starting middle school next year at Pioneer. I really hope she can stay there.

Ruhighlander, you should give your imput re: Proposal #6 that would effect Cooper City directly. They consider all imput. There is another meeting just to discuss the timeline re: changes for 2012-13 school year on June 1st 6:30-7:30 pm, at Western High, Davie, FL.

All the Cooper City Commissioners went to the last meeting at McArthur High. Of all the people who attended, most were from Cooper City. Sadly there were less than 20 there.
