Good evening!

I'm here looking for a little help. I'm visiting Fort Lauderdale for the first time this upcoming July. I'm looking to stay at either Sheraton Fort Lauderdale (‎1140 Seabreeze Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale) or The Westin Beach Resort (321 North Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale).

I'm hoping to get away with not having to rent a car. Could anyone tell me which location is better for walkability?

Any other info on the 2 locations would also be appreciated!

Thank you very much!!

BW

I think the Westin is a little better for walkability.

I agree about Westin - but try walkscore or google maps - much depends on what you want to walk to.

I recently stayed right next door to the Westin at the W. You can rent beach chairs right across the street, and you can walk to any of the hotels and they have bars and restaurants although Shula's at the Westin was our favorite. You will need a cab to get to the nightlife of Las Olas Blvd, or the mall on Sunrise.

If you have no plans other than going to the beach all day and the bars and restaurants nearby, then you don't need a car. If you plan on seeing other parts of Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding areas, then you will need a car.
