I am looking for someone who is good with a difficult cat and doesn't charge too much. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

I like Dr. Stone at Pasadena Lakes Animal Clinic. He is an old-fashioned vet that wears suspenders and the office is no-frills, but I really like him. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. His office is on the Northwest corner of University Drive & Taft Street, in Pembroke Pines. (954) 432-8396.

Is Davie close enough for you? If so, I recommend Animal Recreation and Rehab Center, owned and operated by Dr. Joyce Loeser. It is located off of Flamingo Road, near I-595. Number is (954) 916-4903. Although Dr. Loeser is not accepting any new patients, I understand she has a partner who is. I recommended a neighbor to this practice and they were very happy with Dr. Loeser's partner.

Thank you lauralei and wizrap!

Wizrap, if Dr. Loeser is your vet you are very lucky! I met her years ago when my dog was very sick, and she is truly one-of-a-kind and certainly one of the best vets one could ever hope to find.

For anyone reading this post in Plantation in the future, someone recommended Central Park Animal Hospital which is on Cleary, and I just went and they were great.

While we are on the topic, does anyone know anything about Nob Hill Animal Clinic? (Cleary and Nob Hill)

We did not have a great experience with Nob Hill. Our cat had a recurrent ear infection. After the third occurrence, we were told that the cat would just have to live with periodic infections.

We went to Central Broward and the vet a scan (not sure if it was ultrasound or something else) and she showed us a boney growth in the cat's ear. She gave us two treatment options - superficial removal in office with the warning that the growth would likely come back, or referral to a surgeon for an open procedure that will allow them to remove the root of the growth.

We opted for the surgery. Even though the surgery was not performed at Central Broward, they called to check on our kitty after surgery.
