Where , if any , can I find an affordable ($300,000. or less) Housing in FTL. SF home or condo (Min 2/2) as close as possible to the water and in a safe area. No trash neighborhoods preffered.

Yeah but they had a burglar on one street !

Really though, I would search Wilton Manors, the closer to the river and further from the Oakland Park Porno, Pain Clinic, and General Sleaze District, the better. As long as you do not mind living in a community that is predominantly openly gay residents (I personally would find that desriable even as a straight male), I don't see any problem with the area, and it should hold its value better than some other areas. I think 300k for a 2 bedroom could be doable and its no more than 10 minutes from the beach.

For 300K you have options A LOT closer to Ft Lauderdale beach than Wilton Manors.... But more interesting, what areas do YOU recommened, Compelled? I am looking at some nice condos just north of Bay View Drive Park (west of Lauderdale-by-the-sea), is that an okay area for a thirtysomething guy?

That's a great area, those have really fell below 300 for 2 bedroom???? I need to check out rents around there and watch prices. A little sleepy but very nice. I personally would head towards Vic. Park.

The most dangerous neighborhood in the 17th safest city in the US, just kidding . 250k still sounds about right. Do you have any pictures or a listing?
