Hello. Hoping I can get some advice/direction on Preschools here in Ft Lauderdale. We have recently moved from Manhattan and I need to find a school for my 4 year old son. We live in Coral Ridge (right off A1A). Willing to drive at tops 20 minutes in any direction for a good school with a strong Preschool program.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as I begin my search!

It depends if you are looking for a half day or full day program and expense. The best half day and inexpensive program is at The Little Flower Montessori (NE 25th Street in Wilton Manors); full day inexpensive program is at St. Coleman, full day expensive programs are at St. Marks and Pine Crest schools. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the replies. I'm looking for a 1/2 day program. I'm not adverse to paying $8K+ for a 1/2 day Preschool program but I would really would prefer to find a school with a strong program for half the price.

I have noted the schools you suggested and will look them up online. I need to stay away from Montessori type schools as my little guys needs structure and support in the classroom.

My other concern is that the school year has already begun and I'm afraid the schools w/strong programs are probably already full. Maybe that's just because the process here in Manhattan is crazy and you need to apply/interview for a placement 1 year in advance.
