Thanks MM - you know what I mean though - its like saying I want to live in Malba Queens, or Dyker heights brooklyn. You know only people with lots of money live there, because the smallest of small homes are 750K. On my salary in NYC - I could never live in those places, but I wouldn't mind living in close proximity - LOL - but that is basically what I am looking for down there, minus the 2 hour commute :-)!

Yeah, I know what you meant, although Weston is a small town, even within Weston you can find its own Dyker Heights and its own Woodside. I also wouldn't be able to live in one of those really expensive communities, I would feel out of place.

so yeah, Im with max's mama...you'll feel comfortable everywhere. South Florida is just more comfortable by a mile than anywhere in the city any day. It's just more casual and laid back. I spend a ton less on clothing, shoes, etc. There's just less pressure to always look perfect. You'll see people wearing shorts and sneakers anywhere and everywhere. Ive lived in Miami Beach, Surfside, Weston, Pembroke Pines, Davie & now, Plantation and felt just as comfortable in every city.

Thanks Fauve - I really appreciate it - I hope it is exactly how you guys say! Now the job! As sad as it is, my hubby and I are considering going down at different times - I will leave first and then he will come after I'm settled - what do you think good or bad idea?
