There isn't any bad weather, really. Passing thunderstorms, sure, but they don't last long. The rare hurricane, but that is a completely different event where you either hunker down with others or leave. That's something that may never happen in your lifetime. Generally bad weather? That's so rare that it's probably a good idea to take a nap, watch an old movie or catch up on your reading. Personally, I had to set time aside for those things because the bad weather doesn't usually happen.

Maybe I'm spoiled from the 325+ days of sunshine and warmth of AZ, but the last 5 days here in CC and on a day trio to Sarasota have been grey, overcast, windy, rainy, and damned cold to our old bones. Certainly not boating or kayaking weather, IMO.

Rain or shine...There's just nothing to do in Cape Coral! lol It's a town with a lot of single-family houses, around 150,000 ppl if i'm not mistaken, , low crime and boring.

Traveldude, I see your point. (though I might have phrased it more tactfully)

I can't even imagine what one can do with their daylight hours in the hot, sticky, humid summers! Sit home in the a/c and watch TV?

Jkgourment, You can go to the pool and relax. You can go to the beach...1 hour away lol You can go shopping if you have money. You can take off your shirt and walk around in the neighborhood showing off your 6 pack abs...lol You can go fishing...You can play sports outside, just make sure you wear sunscreen.

Aww....I'm moving to CC in three years!! The weather there has GOT to be better than the weather in Delaware! And honestly--our summers here in southern Delaware are even muggier than the summers down there. We also have serious air pollution/quality issues, which makes matters even worse.
Note: I visit south Florida every year for a couple weeks during the summer. We were in Key West last August, and we came across another Delaware couple who "traveled to Florida to cool down"--LOL!!
