Metro Self Storage - Complaints: RODENTS, ROACHES and more!
Just want to warn everyone that paying for storage at Metro Self Storage will include the building of HUGE rodents' nests in your storage unit, cockroach nests of all different styles (even the moving guys were amazed at the HUGE nests of all different types), ants infestations to access stuff not even in your unit - and absolutely no response from management when you bring it to their attention. All your belongings will be chewed through, ruined, and destroyed and they will have a "ho-hum, business as daily-usual" attitude not even worthy of a response.
This is after many promises, assurances and statements claiming adequate pest control in their facilities and taking your monthly check. NOT!
Brian Blankenship, you should be very, very ashamed of yourself! Disgusting!

I had that happen to a friend in Denver. They basically said that's why you should have insurance. Yep, they don't care.

I would think if they're charging you they have a fiduciary duty to safe guard against those hazards, check your contract and see if there's a disclaimer to that extent, if not I would sue or take it to one of the tv stations that assist in problem solving

Default Metro Self Storage response...

Metro Self Storage prides itself in providing a safe, clean and secure facility while meeting our guest’s storage needs. Our team works hard to provide the best experience possible, but sometimes unfortunate, uncontrollable events occur, which is the case with this tenant’s review of our service. We received, reviewed, and responded within five (5) business days.

In summary: 1.) Our property is not overrun by pest and rodents, 2.) The store does have adequate monthly, professional pest control service, 3.) A claim has not been reviewed (or denied), according to the tenant’s insurance provider, because the tenant has not submitted a claim for loss to their insurance provider.

We are proud of our property and the service we provide. Feel free to contact our Property Manager directly at 239-489-9988 if you have any questions about our service or product. We look forward to exceeding all of your storage needs.

–Metro Storage LLC, 12/30/2013.
