Have 2 job offers; need unbiased opinions on which might be the best offer to accept:

WalGreens Pharmacy Technician - part time, 3 miles from the house, 8.75 hr. (minimum 20 hrs), benefits for full time only.

Bridge Toll Collector - part time, working all 3 locations; midpoint, Cape bridge & Sanibel toll booth, 10.47 hr. , minimum 16 hrs. Varying shifts & varying locations. However long it takes to go fulltime....varying locations is always mandatory however shifts may become assigned at that time. Benefits for full time only.

I'd like to lean more towards toll collector with the idea of full time in the future with great benefits but everyone keeps saying, "How will you get to work on time when the traffic picks up for season"....

Anyone have any opinion / suggestions on either choice?

Go for the toll job..........you can plan for traffic .
Much better chance for bennies down the road if you do a good job for the city.

Don't know what a WalGreens Pharmacy Technician does......sounds like a lot of responsibility for $8.75 a hr. Maybe a big title and not much responsibility?
I think I would chose the toll collector as well.

WalGreens Pharmacy Tech basically assists the pharmacist.... labeling bottles, assisting customers, answering phones, etc.

Shift work:
Monday-Friday 8AM - 10PM
Saturday 9AM - 6PM
Sunday 9AM - 5PM

The toll collector has varying shifts:

745am-415pm
10am-630pm
345pm-1215am
1145pm-815am

& even if full time must agree to all 3 locations.

I feel long term toll collector is the best choice; leading into full time will bring better benefits; however 5 minutes from home & better "shifts" are keeping me confused

Wow I didn't know Walgreen RX tech paid so low, go with the toll job, the pharmacy one is a lot of work with people who get annoyed because of thousands of problems that come up with their prescription.

No brainer. Things always lead into things.
The County will do nothing but expand with new positions opening/created in the future.

The government job is your best bet. I started with IRS as a temp part-time clerk, and 33 years later retired as a mid level manager making a 6 figure salary. There will be opportunities to move up.

Just a FWIW, was an asst mgr back in the day with Walgreens. Really had a bad corporate administration, wasn't a good company to work for.
