Planning to get a chain-link fence installed at my residence. Does anyone have any good experiences to report or recommendations for local companies? It would be for a very small job.

I did some searching on the forum, but there's only a few old posts I could find. Any companies suggested don't appear to have a web presence anymore so I assume they're not in business.

Any input is appreciated

If I can offer some unsolicited advice, I hope you won't get offended. I work in a business that deals with home values on a daily basis. Many potential buyers of homes consider chain link fences much less appealing looking than other types of fences, and therefore they mentally put a lower value on the home. Unless you need a chain link fence for it's strength, have you considered other types of fences instead? Other types would be considered better looking by most people, and would give your home more value. .... Just something to consider.

Best luck.

No offense taken. I appreciate your input and while I agree with your statements in general, I believe every situation is different.

We chose a vinyl fence, and regretted it immediately after it was built. We live in NW Cape Coral where everything is sparse and spread out, and enjoyed watching the wildlife that would wander around near our property. The fence made us feel so enclosed. The privacy is nice, but not being able to see out isn't. I'm also disappointed at how unsturdy it is. I have every expectation that the first hurricane that comes our way is going to send it all over the neighborhood and beyond. I just hope it doesn't hurt anyone when it does or damage someone property.

However, after watching a video of an alligator climbing over a chain link fence, I decided I'm glad we have a smooth vinyl fence instead despite the drawbacks.

We had Fence Outlet put in our fence. Good job, very professional.
