I would say 'not very' from my experience. I could be wrong if someone is from that area and can speak better on it?

I drive in and out of La Belle at least once a year and I am glad I dont have to make a Pit Stop there for anything. I rather stop at Immokalee instead.

The term "Podunk town" comes to mind when I think of LaBelle. We stopped there once at the McDonald's en route to the opposite side of the state. I'd never go back. I didn't fear for my safety in broad daylight or anything, just not the kind of place I would go back to. Nothing to really see or do there.

Labelle Fl, is old Fl. Its the County Seat for Hendry County. Sits on the Caloosahatchee River, kayaking and fishing and boating available. No nite life to speak of. Dont know what your looking for as activity for young rertired person. You probably would find Ft. Meyers more to your liking.

Labelle is backwards country. Fort Myers (not Meyers), Estero or Bonita might be more your speed.

Labelle is fine if you're a "good ole boy", wear cowboy boots, drive a Ford pick-up truck and like rodeos. :-)
