Wherever it goes, I will be there!
I drove to the Dallas, Plano and Fort Worth Central Markets with a cooler for several years before the Southlake location opened, and I certainly won't mind doing that with Trader Joe's, too!

Similiar to Whole Foods but much smaller scale. When I lived in Chicago there were a few and another one which was a break off from Whole Foods but I can't remember the name of that one though. I was not that impressed with Trader Joes; selection was very limited especially if you are used to Whole Food. But they did have beautiful recyclable bags

Trader Joe's is well-known on the east coast and California. Almost everything they sell is their own private label and is very good quality. They have wine that used to be $2 a bottle ("$2 Buck Chuck") that is a favorite among their patrons. Their frozen food selection has some really unusual items. If you're looking for something as big as Whole Foods, yes, you will be disappointed. But if you're looking for specialty items, then you're in for a treat.

I love Trader Joe's! This made my day since I am possibly relocating to the Fort Worth area and I was hoping that TJ's had a store there!

Great! I love Trader Joe's! A Californian here! But I have to say that I love Central Market the best! But I'm glad that Trader Joe's is coming to Texas.

I was recently on the West Coast and a Trader Joe's manager told me that they already have a vice president for the Dallas area.

I live in California and do not use TJ's for just specialty items, I feed my family of 5 on it! Milk, goat milk, goat yogurt, eggs, bread, lunch meat, cookies, coffee, cheese, veggies, really everything except fruit (a little expensive) They get great deals because they buy in bulk due to the fact that they have so many stores. they get amazing "hustle buys" on wine. They have a $12 TJ label Meritage that is really a Chateau St. Jean $20 bottle of wine. I LOVE TJ's because it's inexpensive, but almost all items are non GMO, non processed foods, and organic but without "organic" prices. In California we call Whole Foods "Whole Paycheck" , not the case with TJ's. We are possibly relocating from so cal to Fort Worth area and am soooo happy to hear that TJ's will be there. Interesting, from my home here in so cal, I have three Trader Joe's within equal driving distance.
