My VP at work drives from Southlake to downtown. He comes all the way south on Davis to 121 (by NE Mall) and then takes 121 in to downtown. It's a slow go on Davis with all of the stop lights and school zones. He says it usually takes 40-45 minutes.

Thanks for the information. It seems that between Keller, Southlake, and Colleyville, Collyville is definitely the best choice for accessing Ft. W.

Yes, but I would still advise looking in Fort Worth proper.

Absolutely. The SW part is just as nice as Colleyville!

The area west of I/35 in Ft W is stunning, and it seems to be a massive value; for example, $650k seems to get much more in that area of Ft. W than it does in Colleyville. However, it seems like the area of Ft W west of I35 doesn't have basic stores like Target or Barnes & Noble. Also, how are the schools there?

Can you be a bit more specific? You mean SW Ft Worth? Those stores are available but we can direct you toward the closest ones. West 7th, down Hulen, or Alta Mere.

I meant the area around Covered Bridge Drive.

You remember when you asked about Aledo being desolate? The only Covered Bridge Drive I see is directly west of Lake Worth (the lake)? South of Azle and N/NE of Aledo/Willow Park? Though parts of the homes on that street do seem to be in Aledo ISD, you will want to check individual listings because some might be in Azle ISD. (Use the County appraisal district websites to verify as taxes are based on the assigned ISD.)

The closest Target is likely the one in Lake Worth (city) on 199. There's a Wal Mart and an Albertson's and Home Depot, etc. at I-820 & Clifford St/White Settlement Rd. Both of those are likely around 15-20 minutes away.

As for Barnes and Noble stores, there aren't that many overall in FW. There is one down at Hulen (across the street from Hulen Mall). There is one on University just south of I-30 if it is still open and another at University & Berry(?) near TCU.

That area would be about 25-30 minutes to I-20/Hulen area.

If there is another Covered Bridge Drive somewhere, please comment.

Editing to add: that area is well north of where I live. I live south of I-20 between Aledo and Annetta off FM-5.
