Is Euless a good place to live for a family?

Yes. It's a nice suburb that's low crime, and there are lots of shopping and dining options nearby. The location in the middle of DFW is very convenient.

Great! Thanks! What about Bedford nearby?

Bedford is very similar, and you will cross from one to the other without realizing it. They are the same school district (Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD) too. My brother lived in Euless and now lives in Bedford, but he wasn't trying to leave Euless--they just found a home in Bedford that they liked. They both have a variety of neighborhoods--newer/older, more expensive/less expensive.

OP here. My husband will be working in downtown Dallas, but we like what we know of Euless so far. It's about 20 or so miles from his work. Is it still a terrible commute with traffic? We want to live in a smaller suburb away from the chaos of the big city if possible. And Euless seems to fit that bill within our budget so far. Let me know if there's anything I should consider that I'm not aware of. Thanks!

Traffic is heavy during rush hour for most commuters. I think he will find that drive manageable, not pleasant, but not horrific. It's a trade-off when you want to live in a suburb. My brother worked in Dallas while living in Euless, and the drive was okay for him.

The TRE train would be a good option for commuting from Euless to downtown Dallas. The nearest station is at Centreport: 360 and Trinity Blvd.

HEB---Hurst Euless Bedford...three different cities, but share same school district. Also the cities often share services.
I've lived in Euless a couple of times...my mom lives in Bedford. If I had my choice of the 3 I'd live in Bedford. Seems cleaner..maybe more stable..maybe less apts..... My mom says she'd rather live in Hurst. They're probably all similar.
Nice middle of the road....middle class cities for the most part. Decent schools...hard working population....fairly clean..decent city services...great location....still decent prices on homes.
