Overton Park Plaza at Hulen & I-20 in FW is undergoing a $2 Million makeover. Stone and stucco will be added to the facade. In addition, Sprouts is moving in to half of the space vacated by Albertson's. Also, the old Bennigan's has been demolished and Jersey Mike's Subs, Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Pizza Inn are going in there. Texas Roadhouse is moving into the former Tia's Tex Mex... Sounds promising

Also, Whole Foods will be opening soon in the area!!

Five Guys has opened and it's very good! Will give Kincaid's a run for it's money. However, I'm not so sure that a Sprouts and a stucco facade will do much to help the shopping center. It's just deserted, even with the addition of Goody Goody. Bryant Irvin really took business away from Hulen, and I'm not sure what it will take to get it back.

Bryant Irvin is a total mess, so if getting 'it' back implies a similar traffic situation, I sure hope it doesn't happen.

Who in their right mind planned the Bryant Irvin/I-20 area? What a terrible lack of foresight.

LOL. You are so right! I, personally, avoid Bryant Irvin/I-20 at all costs, but it's just amazing how many people prefer to do their shopping and eating, Kinkos, Petsmart, Toys R Us, Costco, you name it, on B I. It gives me TMJ just to drive down that street! However, I would just like to see a little more activity in that Overton Plaza Center. I figured the whole place would be leveled for the new 121 Hwy. but I guess not.

Don't know, but I'm betting they also planned Parker County shopping zones! Har! (but it's not really funny!) LOL

Whole Foods is building a Fort Worth location. It will be located on the Southwest Parkway at Edwards Ranch Road. It’s going to be approximately 55,000 square feet, they are estimating that they will begin construction in late 2010.

So what IS going on right there at 20/Bryant Irving/Hulen besides building/updating new stores? Are they fixing the freeway..the mess of 20/183? I have to go home via 377 and it is a pain if you are on Hulen to have to go to the 4 way stop at Insurance Lane/820 just to get back on 20W.

Some also mentioned the new 121 hwy...is that the one that runs south to Cleburne or something like that...supposedly it is going to cut commute times in half to FW...is that it?
