When discussing Dallas retail with a friend, I mentioned University Park Village in Fort Worth and they hadn't ever heard of it. Beyond the ugliness of the nearby railroad tracks and freeway, it is surrounded by some of the most beautiful parts of Fort Worth. Don't mistake this shopping center with the nearby Shops at Clearfork which is anchored by a new Neiman Marcus Department Store. Hopefully, North Texas' growth will be sufficient to keep both of these shopping centers viable.

In other words, not all of the retail is over there in Dallas. Just most of it. Fort Worth has its share of luxury shopping. University Park Village is the shopping center nestled in the pretty part of town though.

I like University Park Village but wouldn't consider it iconic. I used to go to Dallas regularly to shop but these days I have fewer reasons.

What luxury stores are over there? Last time I checked it was Anthro, Free People, Lululemon, Apple... all stores I like and shop at frequently but hardly "luxury"

I spent a lot of time at that Chili's as a teenager, and in my early 20s! There and the old Bennigan's on Camp Bowie
