Does anyone know of any good/reliable temp agencies? I know jobs are hard to come by now, but every time I go into a temp agency and fill out their paperwork, they never do anything after that. They say they need to check my references/job history/background/whatever to get me in their system in case a job opens, but they just never do. I call them back several times, but they just never get around to doing anything.
Once again, I'm well aware it's hard to get a job now, but I guess I'm getting really annoyed that these places aren't even trying, just in case an opportunity does come up.
Are there any good/reliable temp agencies out there? I've tried Select, LINK, Cornerstone, and a few others. My background and driving record are clean, so I don't get it. Are they just lazy?

This is a DEAD time of year for most companies' regular employees, so temps are even slower! After 1/1/09 things will pick up.

Cornerstone is really good and I bet they will find you something soon. Burnett's is also very good.
