Hi everyone, we are looking for a house to buy and i personally would *love* to live in fairmount. BUT there isn't anything listed there right now that would work for us that we could actually afford. I have found a few houses that seem nice, though, and one of them is historic and is in s. hemphill heights. IDK anything about that neighborhood; i drove through and hemphill itself looked pretty ghetto but the neighborhood didn't look all that bad. It didn't look 100% great but it didn't look quite as bad as i thought. So my question is if anyone knows anything about the safety of the area and whether or not it's going to be an up and coming area or if that's as good as it gets. We have 3 kids under 5 and my husband works nights so safety is a big deal for us!!! Thanks!!!
