Where in FW are you coming from and where are you going in Dallas?

Why not move to Dallas?

Long time--at least 45 min depending on weather and the times you are in transit, I would think....maybe longer for return trip and certainly when weather is bad...

going west to east is way most of traffic moves....that would be a killer drive...I can understand wanting to live in FTW but driving that way would make most people change jobs---especially w/gas at 3$ a gal and probably going up more than down....

might check out the Trinity Rail and see is that works for you...
there is station in FTW that goes to downtown Dallas--catch city bus from the rail station if you need to...

don't have a car but less hassle and saves on parking/gas...some companies subsidize mass transit like free or half priced monthly passes....

That would be my choice as well (Rail). The TRE to Dallas would be about the same commute time, but it would be consistent every single day, whereas driving from FW to Dallas could be as short as 45 minutes, or as long as twice that (or even longer, depending). Good luck!
