I'm wondering if anyone makes homemade mayonnaise, ketchup, hot sauce? I mostly cook and bake from scratch but haven't tried homemade condiments. I don't know that it would be any cheaper to make than buy.

Anybody make homemade pasta to save money?
Homemade mayo is really yummy, but it's an armbuster. Everyone I know that's done it has insisted it can't be done in a mixer, it's done by hand with a whisk.
And since it's not pasteurized like store bought, it can go off easily so it must be refrigerated.
I do make homemade tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. Reminds me -- I'm out of horseradish.

I've made homemade mayo in an Oster blender.
The only difficulty was getting it all out - didn't want to waste a drop. Was great.

In a stand mixer... egg yolks, oil and (the secret)... dijon mustard.
Works in a food processor too.
