Lol! We hand-washed all our dishes for a month while my wife was away visiting relatives she hadn't seen for years.

Pain in the butt, but using the dishwasher would have meant multiple days' worth of dishes accumulating.

Alas for this forum, nothing to do with frugality...

I use my dishwasher. Saves me time, energy, and water.

I use mine a lot, every other day. It is much more sanitary than hand washing, and of course a lot more convenient. Electricity usage is very negligible, our bills are so low anyway, I think most modern dishwashers are very energy efficient.

I run my dishwasher about twice a week with the heat dry feature. One sick day due to a stomach virus costs more than the additional monthly electric cost. (But I have teenagers that would be washing some of the dishes.)

I don't have one, but I did in my last apartment and I never used it. I think they're a pain. They are kinda noisy and I find loading and unloading them just as much work as if I just washed the dishes myself.

We do!

They save time and water, so we are on board with that.
Way more sanitary also.
